When 2 bloggers get together...

We had the most wonderful time today with one of our favorite families - the Chips! Mr. Pie and I drove out to visit the Chips and it was well worth it. BabyChip is too cute :)
We had a lot of fun playing with her! Of course, Chip himself would like us to take his picture too :)
I got to give BabyChip her bottle...
After a fun day at their house and the park, we headed out to dinner at Filippi's. BabyChip brought her own...
We enjoyed pepperoni pizza and spaghetti with a meatball the size of a baseball. The seasoning is too delish to just enjoy at the restaurant ;)
We had great food and great company!
It was too long in between visits so we hope we can see them again soon! In the meantime, we'll stick to reading the BabyChip blog :)
Oh and special shout out to PoppaChip for making my new banner! Thanks!!

Check out the new header!

Check out my new header! Courtesy of PoppaChip :) We're having lottsa fun times right now at their place. Come back later for a full recap!

That's a fake egg

On Tuesday night at Koki's...
I met a cute boy in the lobby and he agreed to have dinner with me :) But then he made fun of me for using a fork on my fried rice instead of chopsticks like he did...
It was ok - I laughed too since I had a couple of these

Food was delish

Maybe I had too many...

That was a scary troll like thing that the chef held up to me to scare me! It had blinking red eyes!

Slim had fun too Here's the fake egg! The chef threw it at someone - hahaha

Japanese Lucky Cat says see you next time! He did, he said it to me!

I took the cute boy home with me :)

Mmmmm...lamb chops!

Mr. Pie gave the doggies his lamb chop bones from Antonello's. These dogs were in heaven! Peanut even took hers outside so she could focus on it all by herself :)

That's my Bentley

Segment 2 of Mr. Pie's birthday weekend celebration! On Saturday we visited LittlePeldia in the hospital (you can see the post below) and then we gussied up for a fancy dinner with Jimmissa. We were also celebration Jimmissa's birthday! So we headed out to Antonello's which is the restaurant where they got engaged. It was great too - we are now 2-0 for dining out this weekend!
Mr. Pie and I shared the beef carpaccio with endive hearts while Jimmissa enjoyed the mozzarella and tomato salad - both were delish!
For dinners, I chose the veal saltimbocca while Mr. Pie picked the lamb special for the night.
The lamb was divine! The veal was a bit salty but that was to be expected.
For dessert, we shared the chocolate suffle and the apple tart. Mr. Pie had a dollop of Italian cream with his espresso. Heaven!
Look how cute our dinner dates are
And no, sorry Mr. Pie, that's not your birthday present (but you do look pretty good next to it!)

I'm too short to take this picture

On Friday night, we celebrated Mr. Pie's birthday at Scott's Seafood. It was awesome! The Pies have broken their string of bad luck with restaurants :)

Let's forgo the formalities and get down to the food shall we?

We started off with lobster bisque and calamari in their special sauce (we got it on the side)AMAZING. At one point, I was pouring the sauce on everything.

Mr. Pie chose the dinner package that was from their restaurant week which included a choice of appetizer, soup/salad, entree and dessert. He chose so wisely! We ventured into Mr. Pie's territory with the crab cake (his is so much better and I'm not just saying that because I would like him to make more in the near future, no I'm not ;)...hint hint!)
The Scott's version was good
Pear Salad - crispy and palatte cleansing! He picked the sole for his dinnerDelicious and divine!
I had the scallopsSo tender and exquisite!
Notice no meat? We're still going through Lent people!
Here's my birthday guy :)
Mr. Pie picked the almond tart for dessert. It was excellent! The ramekin is filled with a yogurt like consistency of pannacotta. Refreshing! The best part of the meal was the bill - we were able to get a 20% off discount with my spa membership. We had a great time and it was only the beginning of a 3 day celebration birthday weekend :)
