Someone stole my "nom nom nom"
Mr. Pie pointed this out to me last night - that someone had a blog post with that title. And then I realized, I have not food posted in a long time! Maybe I'm still too Vegas-lagged from Saturday - hee. Mr. Pie has cooked and that is the reason why I will bust out the Wii Active every night from now on and get around with the step-o-meter. He is always making sure we have deliciousness in our lives!
This is the cutest thing about Mr. Pie - he is always making sure the dish looks "restaurant served" by garnishing with lemons or parsley, etc.
Yes, I live the life!
Tonight, Mr. Pie is making roast duck. This is why I had to food blog today to make room for tomorrow!
Feast your eyes on these yummy plates!
Lobsters in white sauce on top of sweet jasmine rice with a side of asparagus.
Fantastic. I literally had no words.

We got Lucky in Vegas!
Yesterday, MommaPink and I did the craziest thing. We hopped on a plane to go to Vegas. For 13 hours. To see NKOTB in concert.
It was awesome.
We partied like rockstars.
I will fill you in on the entire trip as soon as I'm not so beat anymore!

Commercial Break
From my daily blogging. I just wanted to do a product rave on the best face scrub, ever. It's from Origins - I was there picking up Mr. Pie's soothing aftershave (Fire Fighter) and the sales girl talked me into it. Seriously, the best ever. I love it! Although it is more expensive than what I usually pay at Target for Dove, it was well worth it. You do feel the difference in your skin and mine is actually brighter than usual. Stop what you are doing now and go and pick it up!

Happy Birthday, BabyChip!
Happy Birthday, BabyChip!
On the 4th of July, we celebrated BabyChip's 1st birthday. Today is her actual birthday - I can't believe she's 1 already! It just seems like yesterday that we rushed to the hospital to meet her for the very first time.
Unfortunately, my Saturday photos are at home so I will have to update you on the party later tonight.
In the meantime, here are 2 really cute pics of BabyChip!

Jazzercise Convention, The Conclusion
So we are on our last day of our Palm Springs vacation :( The day started out very much like Saturday except we had to pack first. Mr. Pie let me sleep in a bit while he packed pretty much everything except for my clothes (btw, the room looked like we've been living there for days - heh). I sadly packed all of my stuff and Mr. Pie loaded up the car before he left to golf at Nicklaus with Pablo. I kissed him goodbye and made my way to pick up breakfast and headed to Peldia's room. She was pretty much packed as well and then headed off to her massage appointment while I watched Little P. She was an angel and I learned from yesterday to have her bottle ready when she needed it! Afterwards, Peldia came back into the room, looking very much relaxed from her much needed spa time and we packed up the rest of her stuff to both go check out. Check out was very smooth. Then it was time for my seaweed wrap! Since we already checked out, Peldia came along with me and she and Little P stayed in the lounge while I went to get my wrap on. It was very weird but great. I went into a room that had plastic on the table - very Dexter like and laid on it without a stitch of clothing. I was covered you know where with towels while the girl lathered me with a seaweed cream. For some reason, I pictured myself as a sushi roll - haha. After that, she covered me with very hot towels and then massaged my head and shoulders. Ahhhh...the life of me. Then she showered me off while I was laying on the table. That brought it back to weird. She finished with a lotion that was lovely and I felt very relaxed and moisturized. That brought it back to lovely. I don't know if I would do that again. Although the end result was that my skin was smooth and glowing so that was a huge plus. It was also a detoxifying rub so maybe that brought out all the margaritas I indulged in that weekend!
Afterwards, Peldia and I then headed to...
Are we the most predictable people you've ever met? The best part was that the guys finished in time so we were able to end the vacation where we started :) We even sat at the same table! Heck, I even ordered the same thing! Hahaha.
Mr. Pie opted for the cod which came on top of a salad
Pablo had the skirted steak
and Peldia had her turkey sandwich again. Hahaha
Oh and to top it all off, we had the apple tarts with vanilla bean ice cream for dessert. Don't let the one picture fool you - each couple got their own ;)
All in all, it was a wonderful vacation and we are already talking about making it an annual trip! Can't wait for next year!
By the way, when Mr. Pie was back in his office on Monday, he sat there with the temperature being 80 - I guess he was acclimated to the Palm Springs weather and did not notice until later!

Ring around Pablo!
Day 2 of our vacation! It was a blast of course. I started out by waking up and finding an early anniversary present (ker ching!) from Mr. Pie and a note telling me to enjoy myself and to have fun at the spa. He's so sweet. Mr. Pie left early to hit the golf course early with Pablo. They were golfing at Norman and wanted to get a head start on the heat. Yeah, right, the heat won! I left the room, all bright and shiny and made my way to pick up breakfast for me and Peldia. I decided to also get an US Weekly mag and a book for my babysitting stint. Little Peldia was going to sleep right? So then I could totally read...yeah, right, Little P won! After Peldia and I had breakfast, she took off to the spa while I was going to watch Little P.
She is very sweet looking...
But if you don't give her a bottle when she needs it, she will let you know. She let me know.
However, she is still so very adorable so it's hard not to coo and ahh :) After her Momma came back, glowing from her facial, we headed off to lunch at...
Twenty6!
Hahahaha - what can we say, if it's good, why change it. And I didn't. I had the bone-in ribeye AGAIN. And again, it did not disappoint.
Peldia had the turkey sandwich - it was stacked and was so yummy!
I LOVED THIS SPA! It was fantastic. Truly.
It's very tranquil, the staffers are very nice and the facilities are clean. There was an outside
co-ed area but because it was 1000 degrees, I didn't venture out.
My day got better - we dressed up a bit to go to cocktail hour and dinner at the other nice restaurant, Adobe Grill. When we got to cocktail hour, Pablo had already ordered margaritas for us! We sat outside for a while and then went inside for dinner. As we sat down, I spilled a margarita on my lap :( Refreshing, yes. Embarrassing, yes. But it was all in fun, I got another one for free.
We munched on yummy chips and salsa and then soup and salad.
The tortilla soup was only ok
I snuck a pic of Mr. Pie before dinner arrived - isn't he so adorable?
We are kinda cute too ;)
Then...dinner!I had the lamb chops - yums yums yums.
Mr. Pie and Peldia had the halibut - which they maintained was their signature dish - but it was very disappointing because it was dry! Pablo had the winning-est dish - prawns in a cream sauce. It was divine. At the end of the night, we were dipping freshly made flour tortillas into the sauce.
We tried to give the baby her bottle but this was sort of a bottle warming fail - it was too big for the cup!
Don't worry. We fed her ;) See how happy she is in her Poppa's arms?
I could have sworn we took many photos at dinner of us but maybe I had too many margaritas. I didn't forget dessert though...Flan
Fried ice-cream - hello - soooo good!
Cheesecake
Overall, Twenty6 was a way better restaurant but it was nice to get something different than bone-in ribeye...yeah right! After dinner, we changed into bathing suits (because hey, the best time to swim is after all that food right? haha) and took a dip in the pool where we made Peldia laugh with synchronized swimming, Cocoon jokes and ring around Pablo. Oh and there was a shark in the pool! Or was it Mr. Pie with his hands clasped together, chasing me? I swear it was real yall.
Stay tuned for Sunday's recap!
