It rhymes with ---- Reflux!

The East Coast trip was a success! Sorry I have not blogged about it until now. The wedding was wonderful - here are some pics from it:

You have LV?

I'm back from my East Coast trip! The Pies went to a wedding in Philly and then I stayed behind for a few more days. I'll have a better recap later but here's Mr. Pie and me at the Church. It was a fun trip and filled with lots of laughter. I'll provide a better recap later after I go through about a gazillion work e-mails!

Miracles

This Saturday, I got a wonderful phone call from Mr.Pie who is visiting his Mom - Momma-in-LawPie. She had been waiting for a kidney for more than a year and she finally got one on Saturday! Thank goodness Mr. Pie was with her. She is recovering quite nicely. I feel really blessed and happy for my family. Now if we can only get Brother-in-LawPie one soon...I'd be estatic!
Get well soon Momma-in-LawPie!
Here is Mr.Pie along with MILPie, dancing at our wedding!

This is a 2 martini lunch dahling...

This weekend was a blast! Friday Night I went out with PhotoMom. We had sushi - the perfect amount this time and went to go see Pineapple Express. I was surprised at how much I liked this movie! It made me laugh the entire time and James Franco is just absolutely perfect for this role. Go out and watch it soon!
Saturday MommaPink and I hit up Melrose and Rodeo Drive. It was awesome! We went to Melrose first, discovered it was kind of grimey, looked at each other and raced to the car to head to Rodeo. But first, we spied this huge Rainbow sandal: I picked up a pair of pink ones and then we stopped at High Voltage (where Kat Von D tapes her reality show). MommaPink picked up a t-shirt and she was happy to finally be able to check out the place! Finally, our destination of choice - Rodeo Drive! We were giddy like school girls, on the look out for celebrities and of course, the brand names we drooled over! And of course, the Mother Land: Lunch was at Prego's - a couple doors down from Mr. Chow's (which was sadly only opened for dinner). We started off with a dirty Kettle One martini... followed by tender calamari with a spicy marina sauce - delicious! Lunch entrees were split between us: Lobster astice Salmon in orange and lemon sauce Both dishes were divine! And of course, more martinis afterwards! After lunch, we headed next door to a chocolate/coffee bar. But on the way, I called Mr. Pie back (he's in Detroit with his Mom) and he had the most wonderful wonderful news! Please see post above this one! We walked down Rodeo Drive and kept an eye on the stores and also saw a celebrity - Brandi! She was cuter in person and had multiple Gucci bags with her. We wanted to follow her but I think that's called stalking. We also headed off to LV and drooled over their purse selections. Check out BabyPink - we train them young!

Oh you shouldn't have, dahhhhhhhling...

Saturday was wonderful! I finished it off by going to a bbq at SisterPie's house with MommaPie and Brother-in-LawPie's family.

Sunday

I am apparently not done with shopping. SisterPie, MommaPie and I headed off to the outlets. It was blistering hot but surprisingly not too bad. I picked up my first pair of designer jeans by True Religion! I also scooped up a present for Mr. Pie, a new carryon for my upcoming Philly trip and eyed a Kate Spade purse...

Afterwards, we headed home and I laid exhausted by the dogs :)

Jamon

My new phone's camera either sucks or I just haven't learned how to use it correctly. This picture of the dinner I made tonight is too dark and makes my food look awful. On the contrary, it was quite tastey :) Here's what was on the menu:
Filet mignon cooked in butter and onions
Side of bernaise sauce
MommaPink's mac & cheese
Asparagus
Corn
We had started off with a steamed artichoke and Mr. Pie's aioli sauce. Mr. Pie had a crappy day so I was happy to greet him at the door with a Manhattan drink and dinner. Hope tomorrow is a better day Mr. Pie!

Happy Birthday, LeeLee!

Guess which one I am in the picture. This is LeeLee turning 1! Check out our awesome dining chairs...

Where are you from? Orange County.

Since CuteyK still has my camera, I have no pics for my readers but here's a list of what I did this weekend. Exciting, yes? I will post pics as soon as I can! - Visited BabyPink and went to sushi with MommaPink. Mmmmmm salmon skin hand roll - I must have that again! Also, where are you from? Orange County. And also, saaaaaaaaaaake bomb - but none for me still! MommaPink had fun though! - Mr. Pie's college friend came to stay at our house this weekend because he was in town for a wedding. T is very nice and Maddie fell in love with him :) - Went to a boooooooooring, yawn, double yawn wedding. I don't mean to sound mean but the last song we heard as we were leaving was "I like big butts." - Had brunch at Orange Hill for LeeLee's birthday. Lottsa fun and yummy eats even though we were seated in the minority room. - Went to 500 furniture places looking for an office desk for Mr. Pie and a new mattress for us. - Ate yummy crawfish! - Watched Michael Clayton - it was really good.
